Robert
B. Smith, Chairman
Mr. Smith successfully completed a 27-year career in Risk Management in 2001. He was a partner in Hamilton Dorsey Alston (Atlanta’s largest privately held Insurance Brokerage) from 1990 -2001, when Wachovia Bank purchased the firm. He was a Senior Vice president with Marsh in the 1980’s and began his career as an Underwriter in 1976 with St.Paul Insurance in San Francisco . He is a graduate of the University of Washington..

Andrew W. Torrance, CEO and President
Mr. Torrance was a successful Construction and Real Estate attorney prior to joining Direct lending Group,Inc. His legal career provides the firm with extensive in house knowledge of real estate and construction laws and their application. He has multi –state litigation experience which is a valuable asset to our investors.He is a life long resident of Seattle except for a few years in the 1980’s where he practiced in Alaska.

Philip A. Chesterfield, Director of Underwriting
Mr. Chesterfield has spent his entire 31 year career in hard money-private capital lending. He has a vast amount of experience and has seen all business cycles and their impact on the industry.He is a graduate of Seattle University.

Stephen M. Sullivan,
COO
Mr.Sullivan has been a commercial Real estate agent with a national firm in the 1980’s and has been underwriting non-conforming commercial loans for the last 12 years. Steve’s brokerage background provides valuable insight when re-sales of foreclosed properties are necessary.He is also a life long Seattle resident and like Mr. Smith and Mr. Torrance ,a graduate of the University of Washington..
